New Patient Tower Opened

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital opened its much anticipated new Patient Tower to patients on Sunday, October 27. The Center for Women and Newborns occupies the second floor of the new tower, which also houses two new surgical suites. On floors three through five of the tower are 90 private rooms for medical and surgical patients. The basement of the tower contains a new kitchen and café with an outdoor dining area in which diners can admire a beautiful mural painted by Santa Clarita artist Frank Rock. The first floor of the tower contains the new Robert M. and Andi Parker Blood Bank, and a rooftop helipad with direct access to the Emergency Department is expected to improve response time, which is important to successful outcomes for trauma patients.
Philanthropy plays an important role in the success of this expansion project. Our "BUILDING for YOUR HEALTH" capital campaign seeks to raise $25 million in philanthropic support for this project. There are many compelling reasons to get involved – but the main reason is the improved care for our patients that will be made possible thanks to key services and patient capacity the new Patient Tower. We invite you to join our campaign to continue making our community a healthier place.
